End User License Agreement
Effective date: May 30, 2026
This End User License Agreement ("EULA") governs your use of the Defyne desktop application ("Software"). Read it carefully before installing.
1. Grant of License
Defyne grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to install and use the Software on devices you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business purposes.
2. Restrictions
- Do not copy, modify, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software except as permitted by law.
- Do not remove or alter proprietary notices.
- Do not sublicense, sell, rent, or lease the Software to any third party.
3. Open Source Components
The Software incorporates open source components using permissive licenses (MIT, ISC, or Apache 2.0). A bundled NOTICES file in the application directory lists each component. Where required by those licenses, source code is made available upon request.
4. Intellectual Property
The Software and all copies remain proprietary to Defyne. No title to the intellectual property is transferred to you.
5. Updates
Defyne may provide updates at its discretion. Updates are subject to this EULA. Support is provided via support@defyne.app and our Discord server.
6. Termination
This EULA terminates automatically if you fail to comply with its terms. On termination, destroy all copies of the Software.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY. DEFYNE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
8. Limitation of Liability
DEFYNE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $100 OR THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE.
